How to get back your map marker in simple steps:1. Open ankama launcher, click gear icon under that big fat "PLAY" button 2. click "GAME FOLDER" tab, then click "Open the log folder" 3. last step will open file explorer window, now open the folders following these name :preferences -> clientConfig -> (your account name) -> (server name before merge)
you will find tons of folders with your characters name in this folder
Now, simple copy (or move) all these folders with your character name...

Even when you are stand still, there's always a latency between you get on the mount and click mount icon.
It will be more comfortable to use mount if you can instantly ride it and don't need to stand still
