Pretty hard to switch after so many years, if they delete the subscription they have to increase the prices in the shop. And actually everything you can buy in the shop has already been bought a lot of times and isn't worth much in the game. Maybe they could switch to something like Wakfu so the subscription is just bonus but they would probably still lose a lot of subscribers as it wouldn't be mandatory to subscribe to play the game like now.
