Right now, the three most common classes that I see are Cra, Sacrier, and Iop, most of whom are all in the air element. The reason air is so powerful is because those three can use their movement points as basically more AP, allowing for a lot greater damage.
I feel that using MP in some spells is a step forward; some long-range movement abilities should use MP, because hey, you are moving. But there is no reason that when calculating how much damage a spell should do, a movement point should be...
