Once again I can apply your permanent server logic to the temporis server; it keeps all your progress for as long as the server is open and you get rewards that transfer over to the main server if you wish to continue playing. After that, it'll all just be a waste of time right? With your frame of mind it is and that is fine.

Fun is never permanent. We humans are not supposed to be permanently happy. Then again, happy is based on your own perspective of what happy is. By what you're saying it would be a waste of time if, let's say, dofus shut down after 20 years then 20 years of people's time invested in the game would be a waste. You just can't look at it that way, it's very grim.
